Medicard™ is a simple, fast, financing option for you. The Medicard™ financing program ensures that patients need not delay their treatment due to cost concerns by offering a variety of loan terms with convenient monthly payments.
The Terms
A deposit is required to reserve your surgical booking date. The balance of the surgical fee can be financed upon approval from Medicard™ with your choice of the following repayment terms: 1, 2, 3, or 4 years. If you choose to finance your entire fee (including deposit), we will take a deposit first to reserve your appointment time, and refund it on the day of your surgery.
How to Proceed
If you choose this method of payment, here are the procedures that must be followed:
- Contact one of our Patient Educators at 1-866-682-4900 or (604) 682-4900. We will book your surgical appointment and collect your deposit (20%) through your credit card, certified check, money order or bank draft. Ensure that you request a "Credit Application" if you intend to finance your surgery.
- A completed credit application form must be faxed to Medicard™ at least one week prior to surgery (1-888-689-9862). Or you may apply over the phone by simply calling Medicard™ directly - Toll Free: 1-888-689-9876. You may also apply on the Medicard website at www.medicard.com
- Medicard will review your credit report and verify the income information you provide. You also have the option of applying with a co-signer, if necessary.
- Upon financing approval, Medicard™ will fax to you a "Loan Disclosure Statement" with your exact monthly payment amount and credit terms.
- You will need to fax Medicard™ a copy of a void cheque with the signed disclosure statement to complete the financing process.
- A confirmation of financing form will be sent to LASIK Eye Centres. Medicard™ will pay Lasik Eye Centres directly for the treatment being financed. Your monthly loan payments are automatically debited from your chequing account.

Monthly Payments
Finance the balance (CAD $1,999) of the surgical fee after paying your deposit, OR, pay your deposit ($300), finance the whole amount ($1,999), and we'll refund your deposit on your surgery day. Since the interest rate charged depends on one's credit rating, please contact Medicard™ directly at 1-888-689-9876 for monthly payments.
