Your surgeon and your optometrist are highly trained health care professionals experienced in the pre-operative, operative, and post-operative management of LASIK and PRK.
Our fee includes having the pre operative eye exam and post operative eye exams at our center but many out-of-town patients find it convenient to have their exams in their home town. We have a list of independent optometrists in many Canadian and American cities to provide patients with the option to have their Pre-Operative Eye Exam and/or Post-Operative care in their own city. NOTE: these additional fees will vary and be at the patient's own expense.
Your optometrist may be able to assume responsibility for your care as early as the week following your LASIK Eye Surgery. The main advantage is you save on 'travel expenses' to Vancouver for all of your appointments.
The price includes your Pre-Operative Eye Exam and Post-Operative Eye Exam in our facility but some out-of-town patients may decide to have these visits closer to home.
We work with a number of co-managing optometrists that provide pre and/or post-operative care for a standard fee, but this cost would be the responsibility of the patient. These optometrists are experienced in providing pre and post operative care for LASIK and PRK. The optometrist works closely with the surgeon to ensure the best possible surgical result.
If you decide to obtain some of your post-operative care elsewhere after the LASIK Eye Surgery, you will not receive a partial refund of your surgery fee and you will be responsible for arranging and paying the costs of that post-operative care.
