Why should you have your surgery at LASIK Eye Centers?
- Leading edge technology. LASIK Eye Centers uses the 1st laser in North America with 3-D Iris Recognition, allowing the safest and most accurate laser treatment today: Bausch & Lomb Z100™. All other lasers only see in 2 dimensions; like a photograph. This ensures an exact alignment match between the pre-operative measurement and the laser treatment for each individual eye.
Larger Treatment Zones - Many lasers only treat an area of 6-8mm with no smoothing of the edges. This can result in night vision difficulties if the patient is under low light conditions, as the pupil can grow to twice as much as its normal size. Thus, the pupil can enlarge beyond the treatment zone resulting in glare and a "halo" effect.
The Bausch and Lomb laser eliminates this problem by offering the widest treatment zone available for treatment. In addition, the laser creates a blend zone that allows the doctor to smooth the corrected area into the rest of the cornea, maintaining a spherical shape.
- Wavefront customized treatment as part of your LASIK surgery. This is an additional treatment that can be performed in conjunction with either LASIK or PRK. Data for this customized treatment is gathered during the pre-operative exam using our Wavefront Analyzer.
- Experienced surgeons and medical staff. Our doctor has performed over 40,000 laser eye surgeries. Our medical staff at the LASIK Eye Center is highly trained in diagnosing and treating refractive errors by non-surgical means and they have vast experience in providing post-operative care for both LASIK and PRK procedures.
- Proven clinical outcomes. Our clinic developed the protocols and systems for the largest cohort of actuarially analysed statistics on clinical outcomes that have ever been produced in laser refractive surgery, as submitted to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) in 2001.
- Commitment to ongoing Research & Development for best possible patient results. LASIK Eye Centers currently collaborates with SR&ED Canada in the R&D for the betterment of LASIK Surgery.
- Leading the way. Canadian laser eye centers are generally 1 to 2 years ahead of those clinics in the United States because of slower FDA approvals of equipment and procedures. Our new Bausch & Lomb Z100 laser and Iris Recogniton Technology are a few recent examples of how we offer the best technology available world-wide. LASIK Eye Centers is able to provide this cutting-edge technology to our American patients at great value.
